St Helena Hospice, Colchester
The St Helena Hospice team do remarkable work, they are a local based charity who provide specialist palliative care and end of life care to local people with incurable illness in northeast Essex. They support individuals, their families, friends, and carers - reaching out in the community helping a huge amount of people. The P&P 500 Club were extremely sad to learn their Magdalen Street shop was broken into and vandalised causing over £2,500 worth of damage. We have nominated them to receive our August donation of £500 towards repairs to the hospice shop.
Rebecca Corser and James Martin-Whymark, Community Fundraisers at St Helena Hospice, were thrilled to hear of the donation and said:-
'That is so kind of you all for nominating the £500 donation to come to St Helena Hospice. Every year, we support more than 4000 people whether that's in someone's own home, over the phone with our 24/7 advice line or at The Hospice and it’s because of your generosity that our local community has access to this help.
We will make sure to let our retail team know that this money has been donated towards covering the costs of the break in of our Magdalen Street Store. This really is so generous of you, and we simply cannot thank you enough.'
