A Night at the Races  

We set out to create an unforgettable event whilst raising funds for The Somersham Ward Support Group with the fun of a Night at the Races.
From the moment the guests arrived, there was an electric atmosphere in the room, and when the first race started the energy levels raised the roof!
With every race, our attendees were invited to place bets on the horses of choice. Laugher and excitement filled the air as people rooted for their horses, forming friendly rivalries with their work colleagues and friends.

We’d like to thank the local businesses for sponsoring the races – Taylor Rose, Fisher Jones Greenwood, Fairweather Law, Hayward Moon, MS Surveys, Rayner Personnel and Ipswich Mortgages, and for everyone who came along and made it such an entertaining evening.

Funds raised  

We managed to raise an incredible total of £1,735 for The Somersham Ward Support Group.
The Group support cancer patients and their families at Ipswich NHS Hospital. They all work on a voluntary basis, and many have first hand experience of cancer. They have improved the quality of life for those on the Somersham Ward, with medical equipment and added comforts. There is also a visitors room with tea and coffee making facilities and overnight accommodation is available.
The funds we raised will go directly towards helping the Group continue running the vital work they do.
