There are stories that remind you just how good people can be – and this is one of them
Our Palmer & Partners 500 Club is raffling off a hand-signed Stuart Pearce football shirt, complete with a certificate of authentication. All proceeds will be split equally between three brilliant local football foundations: Chelmsford City FC Foundation, Ipswich Town FC Foundation, and Colchester United Community Foundation.Tickets are priced at £5 each and are available now via Zeffy here or use the QR quote below.
The story behind the shirt
The shirt was donated by Dale, the father of a young girl named Grace, whose family previously received support from the 500 Club – a donation that helped contribute towards essentials needs treatment for Grace and others in need. Moved by the kindness his family had been shown, Dale wanted to give something back. And so, a signed Stuart Pearce shirt found its way into a raffle that could change lives. It's a perfect example of what The 500 Club is all about: communities looking out for each other, and people paying kindness forward.
Why Stuart Pearce?
For the uninitiated, Stuart Pearce is one of English football's true icons – best known for his legendary career at Nottingham Forest and 78 caps for England. Affectionately known as 'Psycho', a signed shirt from the former defender and manager is genuinely a piece of football history, and a prize any fan would be thrilled to own.Three foundations doing vital work
The funds raised will be shared equally between three foundations that use the power of football to make a real difference across Essex and Suffolk – supporting health, education, and inclusion initiatives for people of all ages. Whether you're buying a ticket for the prize, the cause, or simply Dale's story, you'll be backing something that matters. How to enter
