- First on our list is Dedham Boathouse. So it’s not strictly in Colchester, but it’s only a 15 minute drive from the town and is extremely picturesque. Although it is Spring, it may still be a bit chilly, so you may not want to hire a boat! But you will want to sample their Mother’s Day menu. There are some amazing offerings and it is a must book venue. You can get three courses for £29.95. Even if you don’t book for Mother’s Day, we strongly suggest a visit here.
- The Old Siege House. This is at the bottom of East Hill and has recently undergone a refurbishment. They regularly do unique menu’s for special occasions and Mother’s Day is no different. You can get two courses for £28.95 or three courses for £32.95. a £10 deposit is required per person, but it means you will end up paying less on the day.
- Mimosa Restaurant. This part of the Elysium group who also own The Pavilion, Hudson and Qube. They’re located in Severals Business Park and have been there for a few years now. It is a big space so it would be ideal for Mother’s day, particularly if there are a few of you. Mimosa are releasing a Mother’s day menu, but it has not been put on their website yet. But they will be offering a set menu for brunch, lunch and dinner. Their food is all freshly prepared onsite and is delicious! It has a very relaxed atmosphere and is one of the most popular restaurants in Colchester.
