Property Photography Preparation Guide
1. General Tips – First Impressions Count
- Tidy up every room — declutter floors, tables, and surfaces
- Hide personal items — family photos, laundry, pet beds
- Maximise light — open curtains/blinds
- Clean thoroughly — especially glass, mirrors, kitchen counters
- Fix small issues — like crooked blinds or blown light bulbs
2. Room-by-Room Checklist
Living Room
- Straighten cushions and throws
- Tuck away remotes and cables
- Remove children’s toys or pet items
Kitchen
- Clear worktops, hide kettles/toasters
- Remove fridge magnets and notes
- Hide bins and washing up
- Add a fruit bowl or small plant
Dining Room
- Set the table or leave it clean
- Align chairs neatly
- Optional centrepiece (e.g., flowers)
Bedrooms
- Make beds with fresh bedding
- Hide clothes, shoes, laundry baskets
- Clear bedside tables
Bathrooms
- Put toilet lids down
- Hide toiletries, brushes, bins
- Hang fresh towels
3. Exterior
- Move cars off the driveway
- Sweep paths, cut grass
- Tidy up furniture, hide bins/tools
4. On the Day
- We'll be with you for 30–60 minutes
- Please have your home fully prepared
- Keep pets in a separate space if possible
